3D Printer promises to change dimensional inspection business

Advanced Measurement Labs Procures AXIOM 3D Printer

Tustin, CA, September 20, 2016 – ADVANCED MEASUREMENT LABS in Tustin, California, announces their newest asset: The AXIOM 3D Printer. Created by Southern California-Based Airwolf 3D, AML’s latest acquisition paints a picture of improved capability for the 24-year-old dimensional inspection house.

“We see our AXIOM 3D printer as a tool to elevate our already solid dimensional CMM inspection processes to a new level,” Romeo Arcinas, President, and CEO of Advanced Measurement Labs, said of the device.  “Our QC inspectors have already found ways that they can use the printer for fixturing complex, organically shaped parts – especially those by our clients in the biomedical industry.”

In addition to fixturing for CMM inspection, AML also looks forward to applying their years of expertise in reverse engineering – creating prototypes from CMM and Laser Scanner data in real time. “As always, it only gets better from here,” Romeo concludes.
